Dajar is a Polish manufacturer and marketer of kitchenware, garden furniture and products for the hotel and catering sector. Recently, it started doing business with Mecalux, in order to equip its new large-sized warehouse in Bystrzejowice (Poland), set aside to supply its wholesale outlet in Lublin.
After thoroughly analysed the needs of Dajar and taking into account the operations which will be carried out in the warehouse, Mecalux will install a pallet racking system. The installation will be composed of 26 aisles of single-deep racks, each 11.5 m high and 31 m long, divided into three blocks. The total storage capacity will amount to over 8,000 pallets with a maximum weight of 800 kg each.
The operations in the Dajar warehouse will include order picking. To this end, the lower part of the installation will have metal shelves to store products that can weigh a total of 1,500 kg per level. Items will also be picked directly from pallets located on the ground floor.
The pallet racks are ideal to fulfil the customer’s logistics needs. It is a very versatile system, where a diverse range of palletised products will be accommodated. Likewise, direct access to the products will speed up picking operations.
