R&S Solutions, which is changing names to Direct Customer Solutions in 2022, will increase its productivity and storage capacity at its new facility in Jackson, Tennessee, with a new automated clad-rack warehouse for pallets from Interlake Mecalux.
The warehouse will comprise high-bay storage with a capacity of more than 20,000 pallet locations and five double-deep stacker cranes. The facility — also featuring a picking area, miscellaneous entry and exit conveyors, and the Movirack mobile racking system — will be controlled by the Easy WMS warehouse management system by Interlake Mecalux.
The automated warehouse for pallets will provide R&S Solutions expanded storage capacity and a reduced footprint compared to other conventional storage systems. The company will also benefit from improved productivity, as all warehouse operations are fully automated, thereby increasing throughput and reducing operating costs. In addition, the system will provide increased security because goods handling will be fully automated, preventing errors and guaranteeing a high level of safety in the workplace.
