The Spanish steel pipe distributor Consmecar will run its installation’s logistics in Langreo (Asturias) by means of the Easy WMS warehouse management software by Mecalux via the cloud-based SaaS modality.
The international e-tailer vidaXL, which carries an extensive range of house and garden, DIY, personal care and toy items, etc., will consolidate its logistics operations with a huge 100,000 m² distribution centre able to store 135,000 pallets.
Five blocks of high-density racks will be installed, attended by four Pallet Shuttles. The four level, 12 m high racks can store 3,450 pallets of 800 x 1,200 mm.
Alainé will fit out its new logistics centre in Macon (France) with the semi-automatic Pallet Shuttle system from Mecalux. With this solution, the company will get a storage capacity of 20,397 pallets weighing a maximum 950 kg each.

Mecalux has developed new light-duty stacker cranes, of up to 9 m in height, specifically to operate with the Pallet Shuttle system. The automatic Pallet Shuttle solution served by stacker cranes is utilised in warehouses that have few SKUs and many pallets per SKU.
